Angels and demons in this world are the same species (called bejun) what divides them is politics that have gone too far.
Aja is a high content nephilim, meaning he is around 75 - 99% angel, and is physically almost indistinguishable from a regular angel, except for the fact that he does not know how to enter his beast form and has zero socialization with other members of his species. He's been raised like he was 100% human and forced to repress any non human actions and mannerisms. Not expressing emotions in what is considered a human way and not being allowed to express them his way has made him just a little ball of constant stress.
Is constantly tired and sick due to magical deficiency.
Desperately wants to fly and will stop at nothing even if it hurts him to do so. Doesn't know that this is due to the fact that he should be able to fly but can't since he's barred from his beast form.
Might not stay: Entered the year long Familiar Trials in the hopes that the familiar and the magical education that accompanies it would help him in his goal. Got matched with the demon Ze'ev, who he was now stuck with for a year. Thinks his life is over and his dream is really hopeless but slowly gets used to having someone around that doesn't yell at him when he emotes with his ears or tail. Begins to trust Ze'ev more and more and actually starts to learn what he is and all the politics behind that. Finds out that his father has betrayed him and is the one that is causing his magical deficiency. Around the same time starts to believe more in the demons political side then the angels. Leaves with Ze'ev before the year is up and so forfeits their familiar/master relationship and instead they stay together because of the trust they've built.
