Meria has a very quiet personality and although not rude, she will avoid most social situations and may not even respond to direct conversation depending on her mood. She does not mean any harm by her taciturn nature, she simply does not have much interest in getting to know people. Although she is quiet, she shows deep love and compassion through her actions, most of which she dotes upon her closest friend and secret love, Belle.

Aside from Belle, she holds a close relationship with her family and loves her livestock dearly. She can befriend most animals very quickly, and her expressionless face can always be seen lighting up when socializing with animals.

Meria's family lived a quiet, quaint life on their farm raising animals, until the day hunters ravaged the forest they lived in. Her family lived deep enough into the forest they had enough time to evacuate before the hunters reached their farm. By then, Meria's family had already escaped and helped many others evacuate, including young Belle who was hidden by her family before they made their stand against the invaders. Meria's parents took Belle in, and she has been a part of their family ever since. However, Meria has never seen her as family and has had romantic feelings for her for many years, though she endures it silently.

Due to Belle's history with hunters (and by extension, humans) Meria has a deep dislike for all humans which is exacerbated by her innately antisocial nature.
