Working originally, and primarily, out of Coerthas - with fingers prying into many of the citystates...and a little beyond, if you are looking for something of a more troublesome quality to obtain for the right price and if paid for in a timely manner, Alaire is more than willing to lend a hand. It hardly matters who or what you are...with, of course, a few exceptions.
Alaire is a social creature, craving and seeking out the company of others even if it might simply be in some rank hole of a tavern or speaking with less than reputable folks on the street. He seems drawn by simply a necessity to interact, questioning others constantly on their own and themselves.While at first glance the well spoken man might come across and level headed and well put together, he is a deep tangle of emotions with a temper to match.

The overly (but likely reasonably) paranoid man is often good at holding back the extent of which these emotions, both good and bad, lay, but that mask is quick to fall under certain circumstances.

• Musical Preformances & Song!
• Contrats & Carefully Worded Legal Documentation.

• Lying. Broken Promises. Dishonesty in General.
• Ishgardians. Specifically members of the Knights & Church.
• His problems with Aether/Lingering 'aethersickness'.
• Having to wait...rather than immediately act...
• The Shroud.
• Beeing Ignored.
• Haughty 'Educated' Individuals.

• Extremely Heavy Armour (despite frequent close-combat)

Alaire is helplessly possessive, attracted to shiny objects, pretty stones, and hoarding treasure he deems of value. This materialistic behaviour also extends to people. A man who wishes to seem in control, to seem cool and collected when emotions are simmering beneath the surface ready to spark to life, ready to make quite obvious that it isn't much more than a mask . . .

Alaire makes a distinct point to repress certain things about his past. While he's very aware of his origins, it's not something he'd willingly treat as though it were a 'reality', instead choosing to live in a sort of fantasy world where the lies he was told as a small child are truth.

Alaire desperately seeks out familiar relations, trying to make connections at all cost. He's incredibly lonely and feels like an outsider to most of humanity. Because of this, when he does feel as though he's made a 'connection' the man will go the width and breath of the world to try and both please the other person...and to bind them to him.

• A heritic by name and nature, he is both very vocal about his beliefs and very aggressive to those who disagree with him. Anyone who is Ishgardian, whether they support the politics or have associations, he has strong opinions and will make them known.
• Buying, selling, trading or inbetween - especially the kind that is of a more...illicit nature - tends to draw his eye. And if looking for a longterm or shortterm employment, he is always hiring!
• While he doesn't have much expert knowledge with magitek, he has a passion for it. He keeps far too many broken down garbage in his stores that he'd love to get fixed up...he might inquire about repair services.
• Alaire has 'stange aether' - it seems to be slipping away from him, depleting quickly over time. He tends to keep 'aether crystals' with him much of the time for some reason as well...
• The man enjoys gambling quite a lot, games of chance and feats of skill. But play fair....he doesn't like cheating and doesn't take kindly to those trying to steal from him.

• ▹ hates silence - will fill it with chatter, but will often demand that others do as well. becomes deeply uncomfortble by those who aren't willing to do engage like this.
• ▹ hums, whistles, sings beneath his breath.
• ▹ picks at any food - seperates & digs through meals. overly picky about what he will/won't eat. no meat or milk.
• ▹ prone to extreme hyperbolization. needlesly exaggerates.
• ▹ light sleeper - very moody if woken, doesn't fall back asleep easily.
• ▹ terrible liar - can't look anyone in the eye; filled with nervous energy.
• ▹ dislikes large open flames to a point of discomfort onward to fear.
• ▹ very physical; often touches others when speaking to them. stands very close.
• ▹ often speaks abstractly - not quite riddles, though very indirect, 'sayings'/refernces.
• ▹ adores gambling & games of chance but can be a sore loser. often willing to cheat.
• ▹ tendency to over-explain himself & his reasoning.
