Upon first meeting Yurie, figuring out her personality can prove to be a bit of a challenge. When someone is greeted by a malicious smile that's Yurie's attempt at being friendly, a lot of people will assume the worst. Because of her quirk, Yurie carries a dreary, creepy air around with her that can often give a false impression that Yurie is someone who's immoral. Despite her quirk tainting peoples' first impressions of her sometimes, it doesn't take long for Yurie to prove that she is far from what her aura gives off. Yurie clearly does her best to convey to people that her aura and expressions are not who she really is and it's clearly shown by the way she presents herself.

Yurie is a very gentle-hearted, kind person to everyone around her. Because of how she was treated by her classmates in school when she was a child, Yurie vowed to never make anyone feel the way she did thus leading to her current personality. Yurie tries to treat everyone in her life with compassion, even if she may not like them or their actions. She isn't trying to be a people pleaser, but it's ultimately what she's become. Yurie doesn't want anything from anyone (other than friendship and to be liked) but she still tries her best to ensure everyone around her is happy. Her continuous efforts to please those around her has no mal intent backing it, it just makes her an easy person to exploit.Yurie has slowly begun growing out of this and has become better at standing up for herself. Yurie’s personality can come off as superficial at times, but she is wholeheartedly just trying to be a kind and respectful person.

Yurie is also notably overly polite to everyone around her. She has a very formal way of speaking and it is unusual, especially for someone her age. Yurie’s views on politeness are quite old school and it shows in her mannerisms and the way she speaks, which was influenced by her family. She is extremely particular about using last names and using the correct titles with people, so when people don’t she gets frustrated and even offended.

Although Yurie is amiable to those around her, there always seems to be some sort of distance between her and other people. Socially, she gets by just fine, but it can get obvious at times that Yurie is suppressing something. If someone talks to Yurie a lot, they will begin to notice that she is quite insecure about herself.

Yurie usually doesn't directly open up about it, but her insecurity is made evident by her remarks about her physical appearance and her incessant need to always look "presentable". She sets very high standards for herself that she is dead set on following, but a lot of it is because she struggles to accept her flaws and believes that she can always fix them. Yurie's self-hatred stems from her father and bullying throughout her childhood. It's a problem that she struggles to confront, so instead, she projects onto those around her and hypes them up to compensate for not being able to do so for herself. To put it frankly, Yurie is a toxic perfectionist. In light of recent events in her plot, Yurie is finally coming to terms with this fact and is now working on accepting herself more. Her definition of self-acceptance is currently rather toxic as Yurie is only accepting the more negative aspects of herself, but she is slowly beginning to feel proud of herself for her good things as well. One thing she has realized is that she has ambition and commitment. She is very dedicated to her goals and tends to be very thorough with the process of getting there. Yurie can be almost meticulous at times when it comes to completing her goals/the steps to get there.

Yurie is generally a humble person, but she has big goals set up for herself and dreams she wishes to accomplish someday. Yurie often has periods of discouragement and she doesn't do as much as she wishes she could, but she will not drop her dreams and will continue pursuing them unless it leads her to a dead end. Yurie wants herself and everyone around her to accomplish their goals even if it takes a long time to get there. Yurie is generally in everything for the long haul, but she needs to make her goals a little more realistic. Only time and personal growth will help Yurie see that, though.

Her favorite food is pork katsu but she also enjoys takoyaki, cotton candy, and any type of cake.

Yurie has staple items she carries around in her bags: various snacks, lip gloss, hair ties, bobby pins, and pens.

Yurie does not need much sleep to function, but if she is forced to wake up before she's ready then it dampens her mood

Yurie has a very regulated way of speaking, to the point it's a bit unsettling. She tends to speak with a very honeyed, happy tone.

Most of the time, Yurie speaks formally. It takes a long time for her to stop using Keigo.
