He was born in Slipse, Washington (fictional city), a city that no one really knows about whatsoever. His adolescence was- not great by any means. He was born to a cop (his father) and an accountant (his mother), and has one older brother named keith. He has a very poor relationship with his family. His mother hardly acknowledged him, and his father was overbearing due to the fact that he viewed kevin as the 'golden child' and constantly tried to control every single thing he did up until he was a teenager. His father was a narcissist, and primarily used Kevin as means to achieve social status. IE. He only truly cared about Kevin when he could brag about him. Once Kevin was a teenager, his father would constantly switch favorites between him and his brother. If he wasn't whatever his father wanted at the time, he was no longer cared for. Instead his brother was showered with praise. So, Kevin was consistently plagued with anxiety about performing well at school and socially. He became skilled at impressing people, and faking his emotions to the point that he didn't really know who he even was. All his self worth was based on what his peers and family thought of him. This followed him into adulthood and is especially prevalent in the office as well as personal relationships. 

He tries to avoid speaking to his family, but will do so out of fear anyway.

• He works in Manhattan NYC, as a technical writer for a major tech corporation. I.E. He takes technical documents and reworks them into user friendly manuals etc.

Kevin loves tristan a lot, sometimes it's a bit more than friendly but it's not really a SEXUAL love. They've been friends since high school, and Kevin loves him so much because he's the nicest person ever and he used to stay at his house a lot in high school when he was going through bad times, and he just has a lot of nice memories with Tristan and really cares about him. Tristan lives in washington still though. :/ so they don't talk as often.

Kevin and his brother used to play when they were very little, and seemed to actually like being around one another. They ceased talking so much as they grew older, because they started to hate each other.

His father is very demanding, judgmental.......and Kevin feels a constant sense of fear when around him. He doesn't trust him. He doesn't want to anger him, so he tries to keep him happy. He doesn't want his father to turn on him.
