Anika is the leader of a small kingdom named Croutia. She inherited the position of leader through her parent's premature death during the war waged on her kingdom. She is a cold and bitter person, putting her kingdom through hell to satisfy her needs and wants through the war instead of satisfying her people's needs and wants. She continues like this for a while until she meets a child named Tica, and Anika starts to realize what's important before realizing she has to dig herself out of the grave she dug herself.
