- He's been known to let people come back if they manage to beat them at a game of their choosing. Death isn't one to cheat, but others are welcome to cheat death. He just considers it an extra challenge.
Backstory
Once upon a time the previous reaper was like 'I could sure use a vacation' and so they turned on this recently dead kid and went, 'yo want a job, the pay is abysmal, everyone hates you, no one wants you over for thanksgiving, but you're dead so at least you won't have to suffer the American health system' and Elliott was like eh sure why not and then he became the next reaper. And then he went, 'Wow! I hecked up but here I am I GUESS.'
And then later I actually wrote up a legitimate backstory.
But it was all a fever dream
And I didn't actually write up a backstory.
And so this remained forever, a testimony to my writing skills. A wonder. And then I put this character into literally every AU instead of making up more characters because I'm so tired and who has time to make 9508348534 characters these days when you can stick to one.

Relationships/Family
A man of so few words who has somehow managed to burrow himself deeply into Death's heart, too bad it's yet to move anywhere given Amir's dedication to his job. Hopefully Amir will find that in this friendship, 'til death do us part' doesn't apply.
Death will Will Smith pose at this man forever. Look at him. Look how great he is. Probably the only person who will sit down and work on a million piece puzzle with as much enthusiasm and dedication as Death.
