Arina is a pick me up of Shadow... or to be more accurate Arina had was in the process of trying to eat his arm and he just dragged her home. After that partially to the fact that Arina did not want to leave and partially because Shadow saw it as fun to keep her as guard she stayed at the homestead and became a member of clan Wruss. She is very openhearted to friends, incredibly lazy... and can grab and eat anyone she doesn't know in a matter of seconds.
She may also have the bad habit of luring in strangers and eating them so she doesn't have to go and hunt for food
