Nothing can get past Gesau’s watchful eyes; Gesau is extremely analytical and will easily pick up on trends from small bits of info. Gesau is also extremely quick thinking, so he’ll be able to come up with a plan soon after; that, combined with his determination, makes him a very quick planner and someone to be reckoned with. However, although he is aware of his skills he still is quite cheerful and optimistic; it’s not an act, he really still is that way even with his skills in analysis and planning. Gesau is also laidback and in general is easy to talk to once you get to know him. Gesau will stand up for what he believes is right, and he does have others’ best interests at heart even if he doesn’t act that way at times; he also is deeply loyal to people he can put his trust in, although he usually doesn’t bring himself to trust people a lot. Even though he might not look like it, he’s actually quite responsible; if he actually treats the situation seriously, then he’ll immediately take charge of the situation and act maturely.

However, there are blind spots within one’s field of vision no matter what; Gesau is very smug in general, so he can end up mocking other people. Gesau also is fond of mischief too, so he’ll often seize the opportunity to mess around even when it’s not a good idea to do so. Ironically, Gesau is actually quite reserved and tends to shy away from social situations; also related is that Gesau doesn’t trust others easily, and it takes quite a long time before he can begin trusting people. He also is in general, quite secretive and tends to hide a lot of his details; Gesau is stubborn on not letting those details get out, and just is stubborn in general. Gesau also has a short temper and can get easily angered or annoyed with a person quickly; he is also rebellious and if he just doesn’t like a rule, he’ll most likely just break it. Gesau is also quite sarcastic and this can alienate others from him; although, strangely Gesau actually struggles with feelings of inferiority. He doesn’t like thinking about it, but...

Background

Heaven is a seemingly peaceful and idyllic place, but what happens to those that go against the peace?

Easy, they’re simply disposed of. But how do they find those that disturb the peace? That was the question that plagued the Council of Heaven for a while; the more benevolent members wanted to do away with the wanton banishing, but they were overruled by the rest of the Council members. They wanted to weed out those who could threaten the safety and peace of Heaven, and more importantly the safety of their rule; they decided to create a system that would weed out the dissenters and would also collect information about Heaven’s denizens too.

Gesau was created to head this system; the Council members responsible for his creation and for teaching him how to lead this system never really saw him as a person, just a tool for their means. Gesau never really had any childhood or any life independent of the council, but he never voiced his dissent; he knew that dissent lead to banishment or worse. Gesau was prized for his critical role in keeping the Council in power, but Gesau always felt that there was something wrong. He always felt as if people hated him, he could have sworn he saw people casting glares full of hatred at him as he walked past. But why?

Gesau decided to go find out for himself. He wandered outside the Council’s headquarters, and one soul confronted him immediately. Raving about how he was responsible for all of their loved ones getting banished from Heaven and how they could finally claim their revenge on the perpetrator, they pulled out a weapon and tried to stab Gesau. Gesau could only try to dodge their attacks and try to run, completely confused and on the verge of panicking; after one of his escape attempts worked, he ran back into headquarters with confu- remorse.

He realized. He was responsible for tearing apart privacy all for the sake of “safety and peace.”

In tears, he tried telling one of the Council members; they were all either away or just didn’t pay attention to him, and all he could do was stand around in his room in shock and guilt. He tried going through his “eyes” in an attempt to see what was going on, when he stopped on one particular “eye”; it was the Council members grouped. Talking about him, and what to do with him.

“We should just demote him, he’s just a child!”
“No, we must kill him! Send an order of death down, we can’t let him live! He knows too much!”
“But-”
“Would you rather have an enemy of the state living or dead?”
Silence.
“Kill Gesau in his room as soon as you get the chance.”

Those few quotes were enough to send Gesau into a panic; he packed his few belongings as quickly as he could and flew down to Hell as fast as he could. There, he would live in hiding, collecting information; collecting information from other people was all he knew, he thought.

He would have stayed in Hell collecting information in secret, if it weren’t for his successor showing up looking for him…

Powers

EYE See You!

Jokes aside, Gesau can see anywhere with an “eye”; an “eye” in this case is basically a literal eye that he can put around anywhere. The “eye” will change to match the environment (e.g. it can change form into something typical you’d find within the room or even become invisible) and it will keep that form even when he uses that eye to look into the room. However, if someone finds an “eye” and tries to interact with it, it does have a chance of reverting back into its original form.

Nigh Omniscience

As a result of seeing everywhere in Heaven with his “eyes,” Gesau has nearly all info on its denizens; he’s working on getting that same info from Hell’s denizens and mortals. However, he doesn’t keep it in his mind, but rather he archives it.

Magical Skills

Because Gesau's powers are more focused on collecting information rather than offensive purposes, Gesau had to learn stronger magic than normal in order to defend himself; Gesau can prove himself in a fight very easily. Although his repertoire is more focused on ranged attacks or stealth attacks, he can fight in close range as well.

• The reason why Gesau doesn't have any wings is that he just hides them most of the time; he does it to look more "normal" since his wings would be covered in eyes if he had them out...
• Gesau never officially "fell" from grace so he's still technically an angel; he calls himself a demon since he lives in Hell and has no allegiance to the gods now dkubhfgbg
  • This is another reason why he hides his wings; he does it to hide the fact that he's still an angel. Although it's more for himself rather than others; he doesn't feel comfortable having his wings out.
