He takes nothing seriously, doesn't plan ahead, and does the very minimum amount of work he can get away with. While he ends up paying for it every winter, he never seems to learn. Even if he does manage to save up a good supply of anything useful (food, money, new socks, whatever), he's quick to give it away. Partly because he's far too trusting, but mostly because he loves giving gifts. He's extremely interested in animals, plants and bugs, and it can be hard to get him to shut up about them.

Basically he can be fun to hang out with for a bit, but can't be counted on for anything important. Seriously, if you offer to play any sort of game with him, he'll immediately drop whatever he was doing. He's been fired for that, more than once. He wont even bother looking for jobs anymore, he just forages.

His parents are very worried about him, and want him to move back in with them.
