Dennis

An unfortunate guy with the lowest self esteem you've ever seen. He has a very hard time trusting people (and feeling that people trust him). On the other hand, he's also a stubborn piece of shit with the nastiest sarcastic streak and an awful pottymouth. He hates talking about anything from his past and would much rather exchange pleasantries and be done with you. Dennis has a photographic memory and an incredible talent to render exactly what he sees on paper. He's relatively shy about his artwork but doesn't hesitate to use it to annoy people. His dream is to be a part of the police force.

Dennis ran away from home a few years ago with a friend and led a life on the streets for a while until his friend was killed in a drug-related fight. After finally managing to clean up his act and secure a job, Dennis' life is stable for a little while until the small business he works for downsizes and has to let him go. Unable to pick himself up from this one, Dennis ends up back out on the streets.

Eventually he makes friends with a frequent passerby; after a while of bringing him bagels and hot cocoa in the morning, she insists he come home with her when a storm is rolling in late at night. The pattern continues and he moves in with Natalie at her insistence. They're together for a while and eventually start dating; it's one of the first good times in Dennis' life since he was much younger.

After a misunderstanding, Dennis runs away from Natalie too in the heat of the moment. After collapsing in a back alley, he's picked up by a mysterious stranger and carted off. He wakes up in a cage having been altered with the DNA of a cow. Using his knowledge of biomed from Natalie's studies, Dennis tricks his way out and rescues the facility full of altered furry girls. After a confusing turn of events, he ends up not only trying to help settle this case but also working for a demon organization known as the Nightmare Knights alongside an overenthusiastic dragon demon.
