Amber

Digimon TEAM

2140894_WcLhrWsWdubMHHP.png
  • Name Amber Rose
  • Age 15
  • Birthday August 3
  • Crest Justice
  • Partner Fushichoumon
  • Personality

Headstrong. Adventurous. Excitable. Brave. Argumentative. Proud. Rebellious. Competitive. Defensive.

Amber would rather be anywhere other than where life has led her. She doesn't like her classmates at school, nor does she enjoy any of her classes, where her grades are subpar. Her family is of little support, and Amber believes them to be an irreparable sort of dysfunctional. She gets most of her entertainment out of various video games, listening to obscure music, and being without the annoying distractions that most other people provide. Amber hates being wrong; she will acknowledge to herself when she is, but refuses to let anyone else point out the faults that she already knows about. She does like being viewed as strong in her own right and doesn't like when she has to rely on others for support. Amber is not afraid to stand up and fight even when the odds are against her.

  • Appearance

Fair skin, cloudy blue eyes. Her hair is blonde, with a few streaks dyed black. It's long enough that the tips reach her hips, and it is most often styled in a braid that comes over the front of her left shoulder. Amber really likes black and either muted or fluorescent "girly" colors. She's a big fan of things that might be considered borderline gothic or emo, but only if she thinks that they also qualify as cute. In the Digital World, she wears a pink and gray striped top, short black fishnet sleeves, a short teal skirt, and black boots over thigh-high magenta socks. She has a simple black choker around her neck, and two black and gold bracelets around her left wrist. (Note: Amber is only fifteen, and has a medium-small bust size.)

  • Story

Amber was mostly raised by her grandmother and never really got along with her mother. While the three of them lived together, there was a lot of arguing and things were far from peaceful. Amber often thought of running away, but didn't act on it until she was fifteen. While still high on the adrenaline of her first few hours of freedom, she was pulled into the digital world. Meeting her partner Fushichoumon was the first real moment of joy that she truly experienced. She immediately fell in love with that world (regardless of obvious dangers) and decided that she would do anything required of her to stay there. Amber got into a number of arguments with her teammates in those first few weeks while adventuring together, refusing to put any true effort into trying to find a way home. Her competitive nature eventually got too out of hand; when two of her other teammates were able to achieve Ulitmate evolution before she could, she wound up forcing Fushichoumon to evolve into a corrupted state. The only way to stop him was to defeat him and Amber was forced to watch her partner disappear before her eyes, knowing that she had caused the entire situation. The only thing that kept her going was learning that he wasn't truly gone and she went on a desperate search to reunite with him. As soon as she found him again, Amber determined that the only way to keep him safe would be to return to the real world. She is later able to obtain Ultimate evolution without forcing it and regains some of her original confidence. Although she does a good job at keeping her home life from being discussed, Amber does eventually have to confess to being a runaway when they first return to the real world. She is so adamant about not going home that the topic isn't truly addressed and those who know about it end up avoiding the situation as much as she does. Returning to the digital world only confirms to her that she feels most at home there.

    wip...

  • Fushichoumon Partner

Fushichoumon is the best friend that Amber has never had before. They're immediately "BFFs" because of how much they have in common with one another, and are set to have as much fun as they possibly can from the get-go. Amber is always on good terms with Fushichoumon and they are permanent partners in crime. They tease each other in a good-natured way, both turning to meaner tactics when dealing with those that they don't like. They push each other to improve and it's because of Fushichoumon that Amber makes a conscious effort to make herself a nicer person. The lowest point in their duo was when Amber forced him into a corrupted evolution, which she never fully forgives herself for. Fushichoumon never blames her for what happened and is just happy that they remain as partners together.

  • Mike Teammate

The start of their relationship is very strained; Amber sees him as too controlling and fights against a lot of the decisions he makes. She's sometimes a little too aggressive in dealing with Mike, and then left confused when he doesn't respond in kind. Over time, they come to an understanding where he isn't so overprotective and she isn't so quick to question everything he does. Even though she doesn't want to admit it, Amber ends up trusting him so much that she will look to him for approval before making any major choices of her own. It never really stops her from making a lot of impulsive decisions, but remembering that he's counting on her does make her think about the consequences of her actions, or at least gives her reason to try fixing problems that she causes. She very much views him as a sort of older brother or father figure, responding quickly to even a hint of disappointment from him.

  • Eric Teammate

She doesn't really like Eric all that much, finding it annoying that he's such a people-pleasing pushover. She often scoffs at how long it takes him to make decisions. Amber honestly ends up forgetting about him at times and interacts with his partner Tidalmon more often, since he's something of a troublemaker in his own right. She comes to a sudden respect for Eric's abilities when he turns an impossible situation completely around by relying on what she is capable of doing. Amber does try to apologize for being something of a bully towards him, but the honest attempt is so awkward that he tactfully redirects the topic and makes it easy for her to feel forgiven. The two of them wind up with an exceptionally close friendship, with Amber often bringing him outlandish ideas just because she knows that he can plan out a way to make the craziest suggestion into reality.

  • Tulia Teammate

Tulia initially strikes Amber as way too naive and childish to be worth spending any time with. Tulia is pretty persistent in making friends with the only other girl on the team and either ignores or doesn't understand efforts to drive her away. Somehow, Amber is won over by her innocence and the two of them can be considered actual friends before Amber is on good terms with the other two. Even though they don't have a whole lot in common, they somehow manage to find a lot of topics to discuss together. Most of their time spent together is directed by Tulia finding something fun or interesting to share, and Amber winds up drawn into her pace. Amber is at her most relaxed and friendly when she's around the other girl, which can be very confusing to those who are more familiar with her warrior side.

  • Notes

∙ Amber can be considered something of a tsundere type character, to a small degree. She doesn't like a whole lot of people and gets prickly whenever she feels that anyone may be trying to get close to her. She is reluctant to confess to any sort of positive relationship with others; she doesn't even get on with her teammates until realizing that none of them have any sort of ulterior motives towards her other than working together to solve problems or fight.

∙ While she loves to listen to music, she's actually terrible at remembering song lyrics and has an awful time singing when the words aren't right in front of her.

∙ She can best any other member of TEAM in arm wrestling.

∙ After realizing how much she relies on Fushichoumon for his abilities, Amber develops an almost unhealthy obsession with learning any sort of fighting that she can. She voluntarily spends time in the real world to attend classes for various fighting styles but, being a poor student, she doesn't end up spending more than a few weeks learning the basics of any of them. She winds up with an assortment of messy tactics that she eventually polishes into a confident style of her own after years of use.
