Jarek has a submissive personality and always appears to be on guard for some misfortune to befall, there seems to be a lot in his past that sticks with him and quite a bit of it is written on his body. If someone were to approach him he'd probably appear edgy, nervous even though what he really craves is companionship.

Jarek was born to a human mother, a woman from a respectable family, his birth angered her father and with lack of a purpose for the boy he sold him off as a whipping boy to a noble family. Jarek grew up never knowing his mother, but was guaranteed a life by the side of a noble. A decent life save for the fact the noble he was the companion of was a trouble maker and his trouble was also Jarek's so the young hybrid often found himself taking the punishment of the other, some punishments more cruel than the rest.
For all the unfortunate treatments caused by the noble, Jarek never held any ill will to him, rather he found the noble was often kind and caring toward him; nursing him back to health after the harsher punishments he faced. These kindnesses turned to affection as the two matured and intimacy that they hid from view but nothing can be hidden forever. When word reached the noble's parents they brought the two boys to them and threatened to put Jarek down like an animal, news he didn't take well as he lashed out and killed the pair in a fit of sudden rage, anger and resentment he had held onto all his life causing him to lash out at the two people who had controlled his life all this time.
He fled after the incident, sure someone would be sent to kill him in return for his crime. He has been on the run ever since, aways on alert and prepared for someone to come looking for him.

-He hasn't had to fend much for himself so he is still learning how to function with only one arm; especially with things that require two arms like lacing trousers for instance (he gave those up fast :'D ).
-He is currently a beggar and often gets passed up for most work for various reasons.
