Gerda Marchen

Gerda (or Ger for short), is a pretty spunky and humorous Plush baby that has a huge love for Cottage aesthetics and Stop Motion films like Yuri Nornstein, The Quay Brothers or Jan Svankmajer. Ger can have a bit of sass and sarcasm from time to time, but never in a mean spirited fashion. When not out picking wildflowers or getting stuck in trees, Gerda is often embroidering while watching her favorite stop motion films as she works. Gerda's favorite forms of embroidery is Silk Ribbon and Crewel. Ger is currently learning how to do Stumpwork Embroidery and will hopefully soon get a hang of that form of embroidery. Ger is also scented like a Blueberry Muffin. Inside of Gerda's Locket is an Antique toy shelf with tiny folk art toys lining the shelf: A Dala Horse, a Stacking Doll, and a Raggedy Ann. The Section of the Library that Gerda has the honor of tending to contains Books on Embroidery, Art books, and Crafting books. Ger is named after the main character from the story, "The Snow Queen."
