PERSONALITY
Ruby is a confident Pokemon trainer, prefering battles, particularly singles, over other types of Pokemon competitions. Has tried contests in the past, but struggled.
They are an avid battler, loving it quite a lot.
They are also a researcher, particularly in oddly coloured and variant Pokemon. This has lead them to searching and exploring other regions and researching into why some Pokemon acquire different colours. They are curious by nature, so this job is perfect for them. They also use a camera to study these Pokemon from afar, as well as capturing them. They have found that these Pokemon struggle in the wild due to their different colouration, and are extremely rare. They also help by saving and protecting these variant Pokemon from poachers.
Ruby swaps team members depending on where they are going, for example, ground Pokemon for caves, and thus, trains more than the usual 6 Pokemon.

Blaze the Blaziken
Ruby's starter Pokemon chosen was the fire pokemon, Torchic, thus these two have a strong bond. Blaze is extremely determined, and Ruby can always rely on him to win battles.

Prince the Shiny Vaporeon
Prince is a very uptight Pokemon, and he can be over the top and proud of himself. He is bulky, able to take many hits and dance around the battlefield with grace. Prince was Ruby's first owed variant Pokemon, found in the Kanto region, in a trap with an injured leg. Nursing him to health, Ruby added him to their team and the trust between the two grew.

Star the Salamence
A hoenn caught Bagon, Star became Ruby's quick flying companion. She is powerful, quiet, and can be quite shy at times.

Miao the Shiny Meowstic
Caught in the region of Kalos, Miao was found being attacked by a Pyroar. Ruby stepped in with Blaze, and caught Miao. Miao is a trickster, loving to play tricks on others. Miao tends to sit on top of Ruby's shoulders, loving being high up. She also takes liking to sitting on Shiro's head.

Flare the Acranine
Caught in the region of Kanto, Flare is a fast, strong Acranine. Extremely loyal, playful and excitable.

Rakki the Shiny Latias
Ruby became partners with Rakki after finding her captured by poachers, and helped free her, but Ruby failed the first attempt. The shy latias wanted to stay with Ruby, and thus joined their team. Rakki is timid, often prefering to stay in the back lane with battling, and loves flowers.
