A young Wood Elf named Iolani Qinren was chosen by a Marid to carry his child. On the sixth of May, a blue skinned child was born. This child bore no genitalia like mortals would, and no way to assign a sex. Iolani didn’t care. Her child’s skin stayed wet long after its birth, and its ears had more points than a typical Wood Elf’s would. The strange baby amazed the rest of the village, but Iolani adored them. She named her child Hanalei.
Having never known anything but worship and kindess, Hanalei seeks out new experiences. They wish to know what the mainland is like, and would do anything out. Hanalei may have a masochistic personality, but even they don't know it yet.
- Hanalei was born and raised in Lanuola, Ainalani.
- The tattoos on Hanalei's chin represent their entrance into adulthood. Typically, only women have this tattoo, but Hanalei decided to get one, as well.
- Hanalei speaks Common, Aquan and Primordial.
Hanalei is a little infatuated with Dazana, as he's the first person outside of the village that Hanalei met, and he represents all Hanalei wants to be. They've asked multiple times if they can join his crew, and Dazana always politely refuses.
