Machine Language is the closest thing to a god in this world, but they are definitely the leader of it. The rest of society, though they are very disconnected from it, thinks of them as some kind of tragic hero despite the fact that they haven't done much except stand on the same hill and spit out numbers for decades. They are mute, but can speak in binary through their red boxes, which really only compilers and interpreters understand, so usually one or two of them are around at all times. They accept all kinds of visitors, and are friendly and polite but soft-spoken. They usually don't do things that aren't deemed necessary, most notably the fact that their eyes are often covered by their bangs simply because they don't care to move them. If explicitly asked to do things, though, they don't mind since they usually don't have anything better to do anyways. They're very intelligent, but have terrible street smarts. The binary on their body moves and changes. It moves faster when they get angry or excited. When especially upset, more red boxes with binary appear on their body and their eyes start acting like these boxes. The boxes also can close when Machine Language is especially calm, but they default to the pattern on the reference. Since binary is not its own character in this world, they technically represent binary as well as machine language, HOWEVER they are mainly associated with machine language and are never referred to as "being" binary.
