dr. chris ash

Dr. Ash is a very clever but also very naive biochemist. He met dr. Edith Newman in his PhD program. He was drawn in by her charisma and quick wit. She became pretty much his only friend and after they both graduated when she offered him a position as her assistant to study a new substance that fell to earth in meteorite. After some testing they discovered that it could bind itself to organic tissue and make it basically indestructible. Fascinated, she performed some preliminary tests on rodents and then cadavers. Ever charismatic, she was able to convince the committee she worked with to give her live human test subjects. Despite Dr. Ash’s reservations they went forward with the tests. Unfortunately, after over a hundred failed tests, her funding was cut and her assistant dr. ash quit the project and so she was unable to get anymore text subjects for her final experiment, so she used the only one she had, herself, however this one was a success. She merged her mind with a robotic body.the experiment was a great success. Most people still see Dr. Edith as the same charismatic and polite scientist she portrayed but now? Dr ash knows better and he knows she is planning something big...

 - even when the tests were only being conducted on rats (and later on on cadavers), Dr. Ash would've been.. mildly uncomfortable with the circumstances, especially given the bizarre and painful experiments being done with the substance found on the meteorite. he wouldn't have voiced his discomfort or outright told Newman that he maybe didn't approve of the experiments too much, of course, given he's a pushover and a people-pleaser. -@cthulhucorp
