Properties

  • Gel heals cuts/bruises/burns very quickly (similar to Aloe vera but more effective)
  • Smells of cedar
  • Not edible
  • Succulent (thick leaves that contain water/gel)
  • Often kept in homes for its aesthetic look and healing properties

Other/spiritual

  • This plant propagates very easily and leaf cutting are common gifts as they are also easy to care for
  • It's often planted in doubles on both sides of the entryways to homes as it's said to have protective properties against negative spirits
  • Alongside the physical healing of the gel, it's often extracted into smoothies to soothe stomach ache (the gel is only edible in small quantities) although science has never tested the effectiveness or safety of this practice
  • The geometric shape of the plant is often used in centerpieces for crystal grids, sometimes the grids simply replicate the shape of the leaves. It's meant to protect from bad energy/spirits, the shape itself is often compared to crystal structures and is believed to give off the same protective frequencies. This is generally dismissed as a placebo effect to all but witches ''If you believe it will protect you, you'll feel safe, there's no such thing as spirits''
