- Jinx is completely blind, and has always preferred a bandana over sunglasses. Her blindness does not impact her much, other than the strange questions she gets asked when she is out and about
- Jinx also prefers the bandana because her eyes tend to glow with emotion. Red for anger, green for happiness, etc. The red hue is especially noticable through glasses (their base color is pale yellow)
- When Jinx feels like letting her guard down and being soft, she loves listening to 80s hair bands and eating Pocky
Jinx, to 90% of the population, seems like a cold-hearted menace. While she could and would kill someone if given a reason, Jinx actually just prefers to be alone. She lets in a few people with whom she has a bond, but most get one-word answers and cold quiet. Jinx around her people is a completely different being, relaxed and collected with a very welcoming and protective energy. She gives incredible hugs, and is down to cuddle with Marble anytime her girlfriend wants to. She suffers from PTSD, with depression and panic attacks because of this, but it has significantly improved in the years since her decomission from service. Jinx is strangely optomistic, although most never get to see that side of her, and believes in enjoying every second of life she has in her.
I got Jinx as an adopt from my best friend, and she quickly became an important fursona for me. Jinx represents my strength and my desire to protect everyone I love, and her power and will is an important part of her personality. I depict her as enraged sometimes to acknowledge the problems she faces; anger, spite, resentment, and fury. This isn't all of her though, especially when the background of her needing to protect her loved ones is known. Jinx is an exceptionally important character to me and I can't remember a time when she wasn't a part of my little collection of fursonas.
Marble and Jinx have been together for just over a year now, having met at a disabilities support group a couple years after Jinx's injury. Marble has selective muteness and severe anxiety when it comes to meeting new people, yet she and Jinx instantly formed a bond. Jinx will do anything in her power to protect Marble and support her, including speaking for her when she needs her to. They live together, and their household is often very quiet. They are at their most comfortable when they are casually cuddling and each enjoying different forms of reading, Marble reading a physical copy while Jinx listens to her audio books.
Bella and Jinx are both veterans, although they took part in different conflicts and were injured at seperate times. Bella is around 3 years older than Jinx, and was injured several years before her. Jinx and Bella have gone through rough patches in their lives with each other, but they are the only blood family each other has. Their bond has grown since Jinx came back and Bella helped her adjust to living with a disability. Whenever the two sisters miss each other, they plan a camping trip together and spend the night sleeping under the stars.
Dolly and Jinx met on their first deployment around 3 years ago, after they both graduated the academy early. They were two of the only girls in the unit, and the only lesbians. This led to quite a short yet steamy relationship, the aftermath of which caused the two to become incredibly close friends. They fought together until they were injured in the same accident, blinding Dolly in one eye while blinding Jinx completely. The two reunited after a year of no contact, and while they both struggled at first with the past, it was clear they were meant to be close friends for the rest of their lives.
