Elise Lockette

Oblivious, kind, and timid gets you nowhere in the world, however, Elise is able to make it by, day after day. Her sweet demeanor attracts the wrong people and her innocence is preyed upon. The girl hasn’t seen anything in the world. While Elise prefers the quiet and keeps to herself, she longs for someone to come and keep her company. Her mind convinces her that she is a burden, leading her to believe that she is unwanted by everyone. Despite her knowledge in education and personal issues, she has a negative take on herself. Insecurity takes over her heart and mind nearly all the time, finding it hard to understand and process a compliment.

Elise grew up in the shadows, always hidden and kept away from the outside world. Anything that would show her rebellion or temptation to flee was shielded from her eyes. At the time of her birth, her mother unfortunately passed away only hours after Elise was born. The poor girl had been left all alone with her heartbroken father and was given a terrible upbringing. As Elise grew older, she became an almost exact image of her mother, sending her father into many depressive and violent episodes. Elise endured a lot of physical and emotional abuse, all while she grew up with no one at her side. No pets, no friends, nothing. Elise was forbidden to have any sort of connection with anyone, for her father feared she would become "a problem". Around the age of 24, her father became ill and had a sudden heart attack, causing his demise. Elise was now left alone in a world she knew nothing of. Her heart of gold was torn and broken, but she continues to thrive, trying to find her way through life and make purpose out of it. Despite everything she has been through, she tries her best to find the good in people and be kind. Although she may be kind and understanding, she has a hard time understanding others and her own emotions. She cannot convey them properly and had a hard time with someone touching her.
