Personality: He's not particularly sociable, tending to be very brusque and droll, but he has his moments of softness. When he's fond of someone, he tends to lean towards friendly teasing. He's pretty reserved most of the time, but can open up when he's comfortable and in his element.

Dean is the only mechanic in a small Nevada town. He has a workshop with space for two cars at a time on the edge of town, and lives in a small house just behind it. It's far from fancy, but it suits him fine.

Dean makes side money repairing and reselling classic cars from his backyard, and on dreary days that he can't spend outside, he fiddles around with metal sculpture work in his basement.

Dean's love life has been pretty sparse. He's gay, but hardly open about it; not out of shame, though small town thinking isn't exactly conducive to self expression, but more because he considers it personal, and only mentions if it comes up. He dated a local boy the senior year of high school, but he moved away for college; since then, other than the occasional one night stand and a few relationships that barely passed the month mark, he's been single and content enough with that. Though his friends like to talk about setting him up on dates, especially the ones who moved to the nearby city, he rarely takes them up on it.
