One of the few dragons that live with Shun in secrecy, most people today in the world are unaware of dragons having a human form as they are often depicted in their larger lizard forms in folklore and imagery making Mai passing off her horns and tail as being another species, usually being mistaken as an abnormal daemon. She is considered a sleepy and often an exhausted individual, she is locked away in her room often taking consistent naps and always feels low energy. She has been helping her half brother Zion in trying to rebuild their species due to their species being on the verge of extinction due to a war from over 600 years ago. Mai wants to live a quiet life but feels tied down to wanting to help Zion in any means necessary even at the cost of her health.

Lore Background + Extra stuff
Direct offspring of the last dragon king, Nithe before Zion was automatically placed with the title due to being the oldest son. Nithe had many wives to ensure the dragon species due to their species having naturally low fecundity, thus having a low chance of producing offspring which doesn’t help with their declining population problem.. Mai and Zion are half siblings and only share a father. Mai was the closest to Zion due to taking care of him since she is slightly older than him. Being a dragon she also has a larger lizard form but due to the war that happened 600 years ago they decide to stay in their humanoid forms to ensure their safety and to blend in, there are some aspects that cannot be removed in their humanoid forms hence why Mai and Zion still have some traits of their dragon forms (ie. Their tails, ears and Mai’s horns.)
Zion seems very mischievous but I assure you he is just playing around and it’s in his nature to tease people to get a reaction out of them. As long as it isn’t too harmful I suppose it’s okay and comes off as playful, though his thoughts on Hei and Fef seem a bit on the offensive when I bring them up. He looks like a teenager due to his own experiment backfiring on him and reverted his growth back to that physically, if I mentioned Zion used to be over 6ft, most people wouldn’t believe me. I tell him not to dabble too much into alchemy since his failed experiment but he always insists its for the sake of our species and for that cause I’ll gladly help him even if the blood extractions seem to have gotten more painful as years go by, but the thought of us dying out without a legacy scares me a bit,,, the thought of being forgotten pains me."
"Knowing who she is, I think I should better say ‘was’, it’s admirable she shares the exact type of energy and traits as Rocio means that her spirit lives on in her body. A big difference that Rozalin has from Rocio is that she’s a bit more…rambunctious, but that can be excused since her brain age has been set to that of a younger one in our species. Zion treasures her deeply, seeing her as his daughter despite using Rocio’s body as a base…personally I am surprised he doesn’t seem bothered by their resemblance. Rozalin tries to get me out more often and I always agree to it, I find it endearing she carries me as a last resort….I just wish she didn’t make the weight comments every now and then, I am trying to fix that!"
"Shun is such a sweet boy, he deeply cares for others feelings first and shows an incredibly selfless nature, I get the little rascal like behavior is a front at times and he’s actually a lot more mature than he looks; but I suppose I can sympathize that being an adult can be very monotone in as a way of living in his duties. I like now that he has new friends from Elior and recently the leaders of other nations since taking over the ruling role for Aerania. I can sense great potential in changing Aerania around thanks to him."
"He’s very shy about expressing himself, but I’m glad he has his writings as an outlet for what he truly wants to convey, he’s very passionate about his works. I encouraged him to start writing novels since the day I found out he writes in his spare time when he’s not taking care of Shun. He goes under such a funny pen name but he’s recently approached me more often in proofreading, editing and sometimes ghostwriting when it comes to certain topics like what someone might feel in an emotional situation such as a confession. He used to write comedy, and mundane books but recently he’s been trying his hand at a romance focused story to try something new. I wonder if something recently piqued his interest in that topic."
"If looks could fool you then Fef is absolutely one for that, he seems like a delinquent but he’s actually a bit of a babbling fool when he tries to speak outside of his facade of acting tough; It’s cute. He seems so held back when he wants to talk to me and Shun at times but he insists it’s due to respect. I know he isn’t the biggest fan of Zion and sometimes a bit rude to Hei; I talk to him at times about it but he tells me Zion is on a personal basis, while Zion tries to act as if they’re still friends… I wish the 2 would just make up or sort it out, this hostility worries me since it might lead into something more."
