"Sleepy" Rose Quartz is a Rose Quartz soldier who much like the other Rose Quartz Gems bubbled within the zoo was freed upon the upon the breakdown of Era 2. Unlike her fellow Rose Quartzes residing within the zoo, she has decided to explore Earth and learn for herself about the planet that started Era 3.
She has a tall figure like most Quartz Gems, but has a curvier figure, especially noticeable in her thicker thighs, than the others. She has pink, freckled skin and short, cream colored hair. One of her most distinguishing features is her dark undereye bags and sleepy black eyes with thick eybrows. Like most other quartzes she has defined lips, and like other Rose Quartzes her lips are pigmented. She wears a burgundy cutoff tank top, covered with a magenta vest, and long burgundy pants. She does not wear shoes.
"Sleepy" Rose Quartz is a quiet and reserved Rose Quartz with an undemanding and laid back personality. She has all of the loving, creative and adventurous traits that most Rose Quartzes posess, but can seem mellow and understated compared to her peers since her nervous and melacholy traits are more prominent. She is very thoughtful and empathetic, and tends to go through things slowly and carefully. She is excited to learn about Earth, its life, and all of the possibilities it possesses, and finds herself drawn toward the arts.
"Sleepy" Rose Quartz was one of the Rose Quartzes created by Pink Diamond During her colonization of Earth. Eventually she and every other Rose Quartz were bubbled simply for their gem type. Sleepy Rose has conflicting feelings about her bubbling and Pink's actions, finding herself empathizing with and relating to her, but still bearing the suffering that came as a result of her actions. She wishes she could have been a crystal gem and given the option to rebel instead of having thousands of years of choice stolen from her.
When unbubbled, she decides to not wait and see if her concerns about Steven being offput by the Rose Quartzes is valid or just a figment of her anxiety, and instead of joining him like the other roses, chooses to explore earth unguided, starting with little homeworld, instead of starting with Steven directly.
Skillset
- Master Archer: "Sleepy" Rose Quartz is a pacifist, but will act when necessary. She believes that deadly precision is more kind than a sloppy win so will be meticulous with her work to avoid unnecessary suffering.
- Superhuman Strength: Like most other gems, Rose has superhuman strength. She sacrifies some speed, but is comparibly stronger than many other non-fusion gems.
- Weapon Size Augmentation: Rose can change the size of her weapon like other gems.
- Shapeshifting: Like other era one gems Rose can shapeshift.
- Superhuman Durability: Like other gems, and especially Quartz gems, "Sleepy" Rose is made for combat and can withstand a lot of physical harm without poofing, and can regenerate.

Steven Universe
Like the other Rose Quartzes, "Sleepy" Rose posesses a sibling-like relationship with steven, but she is more distant than the "main trio" of Roses from "Rose Buds" are as she elected to get a better understanding of Earth from Little Homeschool first.
Zoo Rose Quartzes
Her interactions with the other Rose Quartzes remains largely unseen, but it can be inferred that she has a close, family like, bond with them like the famethyst. They are the only others who can understand what she went through being bubbled for her gem type.
Pink Diamond
Unlike the other Rose Quartzes she is not as resentful of Pink Diamond for her bubbling because she empathizes with her situation a lot. She is grappling with whether or not she can forgive her for her imprisonment, and feels like she was robbed of the chance to make her own choices and stand with the rebellion. She sometimes wonders wistfully if she would have been friends with pink had she been given the chance to join the rebellion.
