Backstory ✦

Louise is the reincarnation of Vlad the Impaler’s beloved wife. Following the death of the vampire Mina Harker, just like Elisabeta Ţepeş before her, the cursed cycle raised its head into existence anew, bearing a young woman with a connection to the legendry vampire through psychic abilities of clairvoyance and telepathy.

As she grew, her parents who were deeply religious, believed her premonitions to be ungodly and fearing them, sent her to the Benedict convent in Portsmouth, England, to seek clarity with the sisters. Though promising to return for her once the nun’s had “made her better”, neither of them did. After exorcisms and other major, questionable treatments they called for the aid of the Vatican, of who sent an aide beneath the leadership of Father Renaldo.

After Louise was able to impart insight into the Hellsing organisation and its pet vampire, information that the nun’s believed was jargon and babbling yet to the aid, was something an ordinary novice mistress should have no knowledge on, she gained the attention of Iscariot and its leader, Maxwell.

She was sent to study aboard in Italy, where she met Maxwell and Rolando directly. Following experimentation for research and validity they came to realise that this quiet little sister from the south coast of England was the true Alucard’s Echo, reborn, and was too valuable a resource to Iscariot’s mission to pass up. She was recruited, and went through two years of gruelling training to meet Iscariot’s high standards of battle, test her unrelenting faith and honing her psychic abilities to their advantage. By the end of it, Louise became Iscariot Vatican Section XIII 's reconnaissance expert and a field operative.

She was used to get leg up on Hellsing's operations, quietly seeing through Alucard's eyes and garnering information. But the master vampire was not so easy to cheat. When Alucard realised he was being body ridden and blocked Louise's telepathic connection, just as he had with Mina in the past, they lost their edge, and came to rely on her other abilities.

Eventually she met her end at the hands of the man she was tied to. After attempting to flee a losing battle, Louise was easily cornered. After sinking his teeth into her neck to tear her throat out and feed, Alucard saw her memories. She was the one. Mina, Elizabeta. It isn’t entirely clear why Alucard chose to turn her instead of eating her, though Louise surmised it to be punishment: to turn her into the very things she hunted down, to be preyed upon as she had preyed upon him, to be exiled by the organisation who she ad lived solely for. Left broken, frightened of her new abilities and sudden life, Louise attempted to piece together the parts of her life she had left and hid herself among the humans. But she was discovered. After an assassination attempt and a single message left, informing her coldly and indifferently that she was now a target and would not be shown mercy, she secluded herself, fleeing to Germany and laying low.

Four years she spent evading the church, yet she wound up back in England, during Alucard’s thirty-year disappearance. She was approached by Integra Hellsing, who offered her sanctuary within Hellsing, citing she was useful with her intel on the now-displaced Iscariot, occult knowledge, and powers. Without Alucard, she was beneficial and had nowhere to go. Integra wanted her to help locate the corpse of Mina Harker and make sure the end of Millenium was put a complete end, so that making faux vampires would be rendered impossible. But, still in her unbeating heart, Louise couldn’t bring herself to accept sanctuary with those who she still deemed the enemy. She was a child of the church, regardless of what fate Ţepeş had given her. Cursing them with every poisonous word she could muster, she slit her throat with her own blessed blade, so deeply that she virtually decapitated herself, committing suicide, freeing herself and recycling the curse.
