Sock

 sock was born on the mustilite home planet, because of her lack of ear stripes she was considered defective & was neglected by everyone in her royal family besides her mother, who went missing not long after her birth. Her mothers role as mustilite queen was given to her grandmother. When the aylmos discovered the mustilite home planet the new mustilite queen was furious at the idea of other alien species living on her planet, so she used her technology to irreversibly block off the mustilite home planet from the rest of the universe. Thankfully, half of the mustilite population, including sock, left before this happened. Sock moved to earth and dedicated her life to studying different alien species with her computer companion Carol. Sock is extremely empathetic and puts everyone before herself.
