Chook used to be a full fledged cockatrice, but because she was so big and monstrous looking, people avoided her. Fed up with being lonely, she went to a witch for a potion to change her into something smaller and more approachable. While she can switch forms at will, she rarely ever does, tending to accidentally switch when she's experiencing any extreme emotion. In both forms she's completely harmless, with none of the special abilities of a typical cockatrice. In her full form, she's about 6' tall at the shoulder, and in her small one, she's about 2' tall altogether.
