Personality: Ophelia loves to be loved. If it makes her a better bean to do something, she's happy to do it. Help an elderly bean cross the street? Check! Look for a lost item? Check! Offer directions or a good recipe recommendation? Check! She loves to connect with other beans, and she's very VERY happy to be praised for things. Not quite in a vain way, just in a validating way. She's a good-natured bean, and she's happy to try anything. She is scared of a few things, like the dark, and being left alone. Alone in the dark? The WORST! She talks a lot when she's stressed out, and she doesn't do well in the summer heat, but she love love LOVES the fall weather and gearing up for holidays. On top of helping out as much as she can, Ophelia loves to SPOIL!! If her friends and family want something, she's going to do her best to make it happen. She's the quintessential 'I saw this and thought of you!' friend. She has a bad habit of taking on a few too many tasks to handle at once, but she's gotten better at delegating when necessary. She just has to work on learning when to say no... Some beans have definitely taken advantage of her in the past. She's always on a quest to be better friends with everyone, and sometimes that means she'll do things for other beans who haven't been as good a friend to her in return. She'll get the hang of it one day, she knows; she just has to stand up for herself more often.
What is this bean's sweetest memory?: The sweetest memory she can think of definitely hinges on 'sweet'. Ophelia loves to bake pastries in her spare time, especially because everyone loves a good baked good. Sugar and spice and everything nice, Ophelia has tried just about everything in the kitchen...including baking up some of the most amazing local berry tarts with her own recipe. It's a long process, and takes two days of prepwork any time she wants to make them... but every time she makes a batch is one of her favourite times! Her favourite part of the recipe, you ask? Taking the tarts down to the library to share with the librarians and the younger beans in the reading programs! Sharing is caring, and every chance Ophelia gets to do that is the sweetest memory in her book.
