They are constantly melting, and must feast on other living souls to stop themselves from falling apart. This includes plants and animals, though they tend to prefer animals as they are more filling. They tend to burn their prey to a crisp to get at the soul. Their tails will go out in the rain causing them to harden unable to move until they are dry once more. They are blind and deaf relying on a sixth sense to guide them. They can however speak, as their mouth actually does function. How they can comprehend language despite being deaf is unknown. They reproduce by allowing some of their wax to mix with their partner's. The mixed wax then splits off creating offspring. So they don't have a specific sex, but they can have a gender.
