Personality: Weathered, Crotchety, Selectively Melodramatic

Design Notes:

• Streamlined wings (mix of "active soaring" and "high speed" in this ref) inspired by Storm Petrels (dorsal, ventral, and folded)
• Built like an Exotic Shorthair, with a stocky build and squashed/severely brachycephalic face
• Missing her right eye (can be shown with a white pearl in the socket, covered by an eyepatch, or simply closed with a scar across it -- she also has a collection of hideous sunglasses that she likes to wear when relaxing with the other pirates)
• Short and round
• Round face with fairly short ears and antennae
• Mane made of clouds (dark-to-light grey gradient from top to bottom)
• Tummy is a light-grey-to-white gradient from front to back
• Generally mangled appearance

Character Notes:

• Predicts storms exactly 113 years in the future, to the minute
  • When a storm is happening 113 years in the future, she goes into a trance-like state -- the intensity and duration of the trance match the intensity and duration of the storm, so bigger storms put her in a rather debilitating stupor.
• She has a (miniature) Yellow-legged Gull named Perna who acts as her service animal by preventing crashes and other accidents caused by storm prediction trances and/or general lack of depth perception (and by going to get help when a dangerous accident does occur) -- Wilson is rarely seen without Perna nearby!
• She lost her eye in a crash as a teenager.
• She actually quite enjoys storms when they're currently happening! She thinks they're really cool. It's just storms 113 years in a future that wreck her life.
• She got the idea for her travelling fortune telling stand when one too many cats asked if she could predict their future after witnessing her storm prediction trances. She can't predict their futures at all, of course, but her customers don't need to know that.
• She jokes that the reason she didn't change her name when she came out as trans is because she's a "trans lazy" and couldn't be bothered, but it's actually because she's rather sentimental about her name and didn't want to give it up in favor of a more "socially acceptable" name for a lady.
• She HATES flying and isn't a big fan of swimming either. She would much rather keep her feet planted firmly on the ground/in the boat unless absolutely necessary.
• She joined the Red Coursers in her early 40s because she was bored in Morrel Hollow and thought taking her fortune telling con on the road would be fun. Her sister thought she would grow out of it. Spoiler alert: she didn't grow out of it.
• At one point, she was separated from her crew for a couple years after a whirlpool incident and got stranded on a beach in mainland Aldora. It was a stressful ordeal, but at least she met a friend during her stay.
