Bianca is an unfortunate result of necromancers using Life Jewels (jewels holding the life essence of others) and planting them on a dead body. Bianca had been dead for a while before the necromancers got hold of her corpse and placed the jewels on her body. Her original soul is now bound to her body, but so are the souls of at least ten others. Every so often, a different jewel's soul will take control of her body, making her personality erratic and unpredictable.

Bianca, though she hates being the puppet of many souls using her body as she wishes, struggles with the dilemma of removing all of the jewels. Removal would end her life, as the jewels are the only thing keeping her alive, but continuing to have them means not having complete control of her own body.
