Esther Pacifyer
"Her calmness demeanour irritated me. But now, I realised it was her strength." Esther Pacifyer (エスター・パシフアヤ Esuta Pashifuaya) is a minor female character in Phantom Blood, the 1st part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. She was presented as an allyof Erina Pendleton, and later on with Jonathan Joestar as they later form a friendship bond together. Although she has several reasons to be irritated with Dio, her opinions on him doesn't show much. AppearanceEsther has pale skin along with warm grey and long hair extending down to her breasts, with one side of the frame being held by two yellow flowers. Her eyes are turquoise. At the beginning of Phantom Blood, when she was a young girl, her dress was a simple, dull pink dress, and her flowers was red. As she grew up, her outfit (default) has changed to a red dress with white top, and a brown corset with cream bow. Her flowers was yellow. PersonalityWhen Esther was introduced, she was quiet girl which unsettled Jonathan from time to time when they first met as Erina introduced her to him. However, she does shows some discomfort when she hears about what happened to Erina's doll that her father made. As mentioned by Jonathan, she has a "relaxed air" around her and it gets warmer when someone is closer to her relationship-wise. This demeanour made her very approachable by small pets and animals, but she was a target for bullying from time to time when she goes outside of her house and workshop. Some people does consider her as a doll because of her silent personality, but also her appearance, and she was given the nickname "Dollie" by Erina; Esther does show that she is quite pleased being called that nickname in a good context and not mockery. To Dio, her personality was an annoyance as she seem to not be provoked by him as he was expected after destroying one of her dollhouses, which was Miriam's (a doll) house. Despite this, she wasn't shy at all. When she is upset, she would slightly raise her voice and speak up more for herself or someone else she respects. AbilitiesDoll Making HistoryEarly LifeEsther was seen as a somewhat protective senior figure to Erina when she approached her after the two brats and Jonathan leaved. She also recognised that Erina was holding Jonathan's handkerchief and pointed out how he was from a wealthy family that have good connections with the other wealthy families. After Erina telling Esther about her close relatonship with Jonathan, she was happy to hear Erina has overcome her shyness and finally talked to him. After that, Erina introduced Esther to Jonathan. At the time, Jonathan found her quite unsettling as how quiet she was when they first met but that warmed up as he started to recognise that she does speak up when something interests her, and they bonded when she visited the library in his room. In addition, Jonathan find out she is interested in history as well. When she was leaving the library, she was confronted by Dio who tried to convince her Jonathan is dislikeable. Esther stated that Erina and she knew his statements were not true as they actually spend time with Jonathan and gets to know him, even calling Dio's action as "desperate" and told him how he should just behave and "get along with JoJo now that you escaped poverty and living in comfort".
