Iselyn
Iselyn's existence is entirely in the style of the Ibi elf: governed by a word roughly translated to 'usefulness', but with a depth of meaning that reaches to include social relevance, historic contrubutions, and cosmic significance in one's value to the community at large. It's a lot of pressure at pretty much all times, but he makes due like everyone else. He cares very much for his work with exosuits and protection technology, even if his natural skill in the field had him pulled away from his family as a child for proper vocational schooling, and tries to think more about his latest projects than the fact that elfin society is grinding him down. After all, he can always get his catharsis later, from his semi-secret passion for the misshapen or unsightly object--something that defies the principles of design ruling Ibi's increasingly monolithic culture ....

The small things

• desperately wants a pet, but keeping animals isn't common in his culture.
• hates to cook .... but can't always afford takeout.
• likes to collect clothing with asymmetrical patterns.
• refuses to touch blood or gore.
• comes from a culture of serious modesty; he never goes out showing anything beyond the forearm/ankle/collar, and finds it awkward to be around others who do.
• they also value personal space on Ibi, which when coupled with his lack of a family life makes physical affection from others almost alien to him.

Design notes

• leggings have an asymmetrical pattern.
• hair is mostly straight, with only a few curves towards the ends.
