Mephistopheles is a generally calm, soothing, and understanding character. He is born from the wish of wanderlust, to travel and see the world, so he is usually out on long hikes or camping trips. He is naturally a lonely person, but recently [april 2020] has been making more friends in tenchuland. He has one close friend, a parrot tenchu named Mirai. She is very energetic and playful in contrast to Mephisto's more parental calm sea. She shares the cottage with him, and usually steals his bread much to his dismay.

Since Mephisto lives closer to the edge of the forest in tenchuland, he doesn't come into town that often as he doesn't feel the need for it. When he does venture though, he usually purchases bread and other baked goods to support the buisnesses, and does his fair share of work for both him and Mirai. He also picks up groceries, which he then cooks up to what he classifies as, "the best home-cooked meal you're ever gonna get". He does not consider himself a top-notch chef, but a very skilled homecook in terms of taste and nourishment.
