About Tobi...

Tobi has always been very empathetic, which is a big flaw in the kind of world he is living in. But despite the trouble it has caused him, it's not all bad. He has very deep relationships with his friends. Tobi has always had a very low immune system and is sick almost all the time, it's just kind of become the norm for him. He's also not much of a fighter by nature. He's always been very gentle and avoided conflict, but will do what he must to survive. If he has to kill to survive, he will.

I'm going to rush through this right now, but will talk more in detail about it someday when I have more time to write. So.

I don't know at this time if Tobi has ever tried to reveal the truth of his history to anyone, because he assumes they would think he was crazy. But Tobi was actually not born on Earth. Before the "end of the world", many generations ago, some people were sent to another planet. Humans had discovered a habitable planet similar to the earth and had been working on it for decades making it livable and sending volunteers to live there and help mold it. When the end of the world finally did come, the new planet lost all contact with Earth, though they never did stop trying to make contact with any survivors. Tobi had grown up with all the same sort of luxuries that we have on Earth. His life was normal, he had a home, a family, a job, pets. But Tobi would soon have a long stroke of bad luck that would forever change his life.

(Trigger Warning! This whole part between the red text has mentions of death and suicide.) One day, while Tobi was at work, his family home caught fire, and sadly their child was killed. Of course this was a massive blow, and his partner just could not recover. They felt so guilty, and eventually took their own life. So now, Tobi found himself at the lowest point of his life. (AND I'm done talking about that triggering stuff for now.) He didn't know what to do with himself, obviously in a very dark place. But he came across something interesting that he felt could be a good distraction...

It had been in the making for such a long time, there was going to be an attempt to visit Earth! To see if there were any survivors, to see if anything was left. Because the trip to Earth was so incredibly long, they were sending a very large ship. So aside from those whose sole purpose of going for this mission, there was also hiring for some "regulars" as well, because there were many smaller jobs that needed done. It was almost like a small town, with some shops and eating places on board. Tobi doubted he would be hired, but thought it'd sure be the ultimate distraction, he'd literally be completely away from this planet entirely. So he applied for many jobs on the ship. And although he hadn't seriously considered they would hire him, they did. It was kind of scary for Tobi, making such a big decision like this was not in his nature. But he didn't back out it.

And so, Tobi spent a couple years living on this ship. Although it didn't undo the trauma, it did help. He was definitely right about it being quite the distraction.

However things took a terrible turn for the worst. From Tobi's perspective, he had no idea what had happened. All seemed well and good, they had made it to earth and the crew were working on landing their massive ship. When all of a sudden, everything went to chaos. With sirens wailing and lights flashing, Tobi and many others were grabbed and thrown into escape pods. There was really no time for questions, no time for explanations. The next thing he'd remember was waking up alone in the escape pod, floating in the ocean. He was terrified, and unsure if he should stay put or try to swim and find land. But he ended up staying put.

Luckily, he did eventually float to a point where he could see land in the distance, although it took a couple of days and he had already thought that he would surely die. But the most terrifying part would be that he could not find anyone else from the ship. Not even bodies. Horrified, he searched and searched.

He eventually was forced to travel further out to find food and shelter, and he had hopes of finding others from the ship out there seeking the same. But he never did find anyone.

Tobi travels with Paisley and Rose. He kind of takes care of them, he's not sure how he got into this position haha! But he's basically the "dad" of the group.
