Personality

Earnest, generally well-intentioned but relentlessly weird. They are incredibly lonely and tend to latch onto anyone who will tolerate their presence for more than a little while.

Appearance

Typically looks more like a compost heap or a moldy scarecrow than a person, under layers of half rotted clothing and a big hat. Underneath, they have a strong physique and a body covered in long orange-brown fur in a pattern resembling a cabbage tree emperor moth. They have large moth-like wings, usually tucked under their clothing and tattered beyond use.

Their face is mask-like and made of a tough, woody tissue. It is capable of only limited movement, and while they can open their mouth (very wide), it doesn't move when they speak. Above the mask, they have two curled bony horns and a pair of feathery antennae.

Relationships

Lou - One of the few people who likes Salassa enough to spend some time with them. Sal partially helped raise Lou and educate them somewhat on practical survival and a lot of education on the topic of theft. Lou sees Sal as a sort of uncle figure.

Aphotis - For whatever reason, Sal ditched her and has no interest in going back.
