♔ Cybele ♔

After being gifted the bell by her parents, Cybele as a small child began having visions, or nightmares to be exact. The odd thing was that these nightmares were situations that included the townspeople but have never occured. One such dream was of her mother flirting with another man. Distressed by this perpetuating nightmare, Cybele decides to tell her father about it. During the argument that ensued, Cybele felt extremely guilty and decided to break up the fight by saying it was probably just her imagination.

However, that couldn't be further from the truth as a few weeks later he mother was caught in the act. After her mother decided to move away from the family after the betrayal, Cybele and her father were left heartbroken and hoped her mother would return someday. But for now they were left on their own.

The visions she had of her mother stopped coming to her after all was said and done. Unfortunately though, the visions themselves did not stop. Cybele received foresights of things happening in the village, ranging from petty drama to a house catching fire over an accident. Her father being an academic, he concluded the source of these visions was the bell. Despite Cybele's best efforts to get rid of it, she just couldn't, it was like she was enchanted by it.

The Bell

While the bell caused her much distress, she was able to save many townspeople from accidents by seeing a little into the future and allowing the potential victims to prepare. But while the visions brought about helpful warnings of trouble, it also incited trouble. As Cybele was told to tell the town whatever she sees, she was forced to expose secrets, and such people came to despise her.

Priestesshood

Deciding it was time to leave the village, Cybele makes the decision to join the town's traveling group of priests and priestesses. She became one herself and set out to be a traveling fortune teller for neighboring towns. The group would pay her a decent sum to be able to live comfortably for her work, so she was decently content. But her eyes don't reflect it.

Cybele develops a love/hate relationship with her powers. Sure it has saved her and the group on their travels many times, but she knew she was being consumed by the bell at the same time. While she prefers to be left alone, what she seeks is a headstrong friend to help her break her curse in disguise.
