The eldest daughter of a British fishmonger. Her father wished to marry her off into a wealthier family, but she had only eyes for the sea and any sailor who would whisk her away. Still, she was married into a well-to-do family, but in the evenings - when her husband was too busy balancing books to make sure his wife was really going to society balls - she would sneak away to the taverns to hear tales of adventure and the sea.
