her family owned a carnival that was pretty successful at one point, but over the years it fell out of popularity and they struggled to keep their business afloat until one day it all came to a head when there was a huge fire that destroyed the entire fairgrounds. carnival was the only survivor. from then on, she vowed to build the most successful carnival there ever was in their honor and she'll do anything to make it happen, even if it involves a little murder. >:)
her new, glamorous carnival that's practically a town in itself is called carnivale (carn-ih-veil)
