About

Caims life began a bit rough as he was adopted by a blacksmith in a trading town in the heart of Osirion, though only after his birth parents seemingly forgot or dumped him there. At first his adoptive father, Asamala Ebrahimi, was a bit shocked when he realized the scamp he had picked up seemed to be of Ifrit blood though thankfully as a blacksmith he knew his way around fire and heat just a little bit.

Caim grew up just as fiery as his ifrit blood would lead you to believe. He was a cocky and headstrong boy who often rushed headlong into whatever it was he was passionate about this week. Despite his fathers pleads for Caim to take up blacksmithing, Caim was never interested despite knowing he would have a natural affinity to the fire. Instead, Caim took a liking to swinging around the swords his father did make.

The two of them were of moderate wealth, not enough to make much of a dent, but enough to live comfortably enough... Though for Caim this was insufficient. To make money, Caim often spent days if not weeks combing the desert for lost gold, ruins, and treasure though most of what he found was scrap metal that helped ease his fathers financial burdens just a little. Still, Caim wanted to strike it rich! He wanted to find some legendary tomb filled to the gills with gold and artifacts so that he and his father could finally just do whatever they wanted.

In order to reach his goal, Caim learned a great deal about tombs and their traps and found himself occasionally at the company of some archeologists and surveyors who needed a local guide. The job itself paided *fine* but it was never enough to make a real change in their lifestyle, though he also came to dislike it due to the nature of those he worked with being scholarly and by the books. He eventually came to assosiate with inner sea pirates who offered to sell his pilfered spoils for a hefty stack, and Caim not understanding that he was getting cheated from the real value of the goods obliged.

His affiliations eventually landed him in hot water with the Pathfinder Society who had come to document and contain an artifact he had pilfered. To their shock, the person swiping them as just a young man who, while foulmouthed, didnt seem like he really understood what he was doing. After a scathing lecturing from Eando Kline himself on the danger the young man faced doing what he did, he then extended a branch to Caim. Kline understood the young mans talents at ruins navigation and trap avoidance. At first Caim nearly spat at the invitation and chose to ignore it for several weeks, but eventually the boy came around to it and washed up on the shores of Absalom with nothing but a letter in his pocket and a backpack full of random tools.
