He was once an agoraphobe, but Racius now finds solace in cartography and mountaineering. He still hasn't learned to be comfortable with people, but for the few people he's close with, he's a devoted friend.

As the youngest son of a fading noble house, Racius always found himself suffocated by the expectations on his shoulders. His mother was often cruel and senselessly strict, so he learned to go along with her wishes early on. Because of his obedience, he became her favored child, and was spared from the abuse often piled on his older sibling, Candis. Despite this, he never achieved anything that was expected of him, and spent most of his childhood locked away indoors.

By chance, he became friends with a traveling Cartographer's Guild member, and his fascination with the natural world was awakened by them. Cyr was his first real friend, and even though the time they spent together was short, he was inspired to become a guild member himself. He was captivated by the wideness and grandeur of the uncatalogued world.
