Sayaka Yokoyama (横山さやか, Yokoyama Sayaka) is a playable character from Persona 4. She is the protagonist's classmate who helps him and his friends in uncovering the mysterious murders occuring in town and the Midnight Channel.
Appearance
Sayaka is a teenage girl with black hair tied into pigtails and greyish-blue eyes. With her hair down, she looks similar to Yukiko Amagi. In battle, she wears purple glasses. Like the other Investigation Team members, she wears her Yasogami High uniform along with a yellow hoodie and black thigh-high stockings. On summer days, she wears the standard summer uniform and white ankle-length socks.
On regular holidays, she wears a dark violet blazer over a purple hoodie, dark green miniskirt with strings, purple knee-length leg warmers and greyish-purple converses. Her accessories include purple goggles. On summer outings, she wears a blue sleeveless turtleneck dress with strings and blue flats. She also wears purple sunglasses.
When she was a child, she wore a golden-colored shirt with the imprints "Super!" over a purple striped sleeved blouse, violet skirt, orange-violet striped stockings and black sneakers.
Her Shadow form resembles a superhero: A turtleneck dress, leggings, boots and a cape. She also dons a mask.
Personality
A free-spirited and happy-go-lucky individual, Sayaka is defined for her cheery and eccentric nature. She regularly has a smile on her face and finds pleasure in hanging with friends and joking with them, though tends to be extremely absent-minded and spacey to the point of needing to be reminded by her friends. Sayaka also cooperates well with her friends and is shown to be serious when necessary.
However beneath her cheery disposition, Sayaka suffers from depression. She merely cheers people up and indulges in her geek activities to cope with her lack of self-love and attention from her parents.

- Sayaka has a bad habit of writing on her arms and hands due to her forgetfulness.
- She rivals with Chie and Yosuke in terms of humor. Akito straight out says that he prefers her humor much more than theirs, much to their dismay.
- When Sayaka wears her hair down, she's noted to look very similar to Yukiko.
- As part of her quirky and dorky nature, she often makes up words such as "superfying" and "weirdirific".
- Sayaka's all time favorite food is macaroons.
