Iokaste is a small, bitter wildren who loathes others. He much prefers the company of himself, and his surrounding crystal hoard, which hum with deep, powerful magic.

He wasn't always this way - once he was a friendly sort, who used to be far more outgoing and welcoming to those who wished to acquire his magic crystals and wares, or hire him on to scope out caves and old mineshafts for treasures. It wasn't until he was tricked, tortured, and mutilated by a group of wildren that lead him to become the untrusting and agoraphobic creature he is now.

While his trust in others is pretty much nonexistent, he will give the rare few chances to certain individuals who still wish to interact with him, despite his fury. Gaining his trust is considered an intimate achievement, and he will bend over backwards to anyone he is loyal to.
