Gavin is a cheerful and excitable Peryton. He loves birds, the outdoors, photography, and his girlfriend, Lilly. He doesn’t let the little things get him down, and is just about always optimistic. It’s hard not to like him, and he’s hardly known anyone he wasn’t able to get along with.

Gavin was captured by poachers when he was young, apparently so that they could sell his feathers on the black market. Eventually, though, the operation was broken up by a team of poach-busting humans and monsters, one of whom would end up adopting Gavin after the Peryton’s parents were unable to be located. Gavin remembers little of his birth parents and nothing of his time in captivity, and currently lives with his human father and Pegasus mother. Gavin came to Monsuta Academia to socialize with more monsters his own age and experience education away from humans.
