Diamundus HOLD

Diamundus is a type of spectre called Lemures, which were the spirits of the restless that were not afforded a proper burial, thus no tomb or real place to rest. Because of this, the spirits haunt their living relatives with the intent to cause them harm in some way due to the disrespect they suffered upon their dead. 

The Lemures all have different forms, the only similarities between them being the gem in their chests that are the source of their power. This power usually varies between Lemures, some being more powerful than others depending on their age, this can be easily distinguished due to the color of the gem in their chests. Diamundus, having an age of around 700, can enter into the middle-higher classification on the power scale, being powerful in his own right but not one of the most powerful Lemures that exist. People are told to be careful on the nights of May 9, 11 and 13, because they are at the peak of their power and thus, extremely dangerous. Due to this, the father of each household is supposed to do a ritual every year to expel them from their houses. The rital consists of rising at midnight, purifying their hands, and then throw black beans at them without looking in their directions before reciting entreaties.

The Lemures are generally cautious in their movement and actions, not wanting to give their presence away without due reason. Though these spirits could be easily startled into fleeing with the banging of bronze pots or objects, which are made of one of the only materials that could cause harm to them. They only appear during the night, mostly at midnight, where it's form is actually seen instead of just a shade of what it could be. 

Diamundus doesn't have many memories of when he was alive, something quite usual due to the amount of time he has lived. Some of his more mundane memories just faded away with time, nothing special or important, while others stayed with him for as long as he has known. Even though the attitudes of these spirits are well know around rome, Diamundus is not quite like them anymore. Oh, he definitely haunted his relatives long ago, and he enjoyed it, bringing them dread and fear, always on the lookout to frighten them beyond repair. Unfortunately, his bloodline died, thus, he was left without anyone to haunt. This development shouldn't have affected him so much because normally, when they are left without a reason to be anymore, the Lemures tends to disappear, as if it never existed to begin with. Diamundus however, was too old and too powerful to simply disappear anymore and he was left to roam without purpose, no longer tied to wherever those of his blood were at the time.
