 ok I'mma go on a rant for a bit bc I just made a ton of new info on this character and need to say something

Esk is confident in her skills and her crew (which she has the right to be, they are very good) although she is sometimes too confident, leading them to be outnumbered and leave to figure out a plan. They never fully run away from a fight until its over though. They take great pride in this. Her crew consists of a very varied crew, with many different species and contributing their talents to keep the ship running. She favors sea folk or other folk that are adapted to survive well on the sea, but she won't turn down anyone if they have skill. She doesn't take on new members often because she is fairly superstitious and if someone ever gave her so much as a weird vibe she would avoid them. Her crew is only made up of members that she trusts. She has many other associates outside of the crew as well that will help her on her voyages.

Esk is a fairly light drinker, but will participate in contests if challenged. She's never lost one, because she is able to outdrink almost anyone. This happens because shes a hybrid, her metabolism is close to a dragon's. This means she has to eat almost twice as much as an average person (especially if shes active, like when shes flying) Her diet is also closer to a dragon's. Flying is especially taxing because she doesn't have quite the right muscles to be able to fly properly. She could take off from the ground if she wanted to, but prefers to climb the mast and glide on the air currents because its far easier and takes less energy.

Her name, boat and pirate crest are infamous on the seas she sails (for good reason) and people will avoid her if they see her coming. She typically avoids boarding other vessels unless they pose a threat or you have something that she needs. She does raid other boats, but they're usually ones she figures she can steal from and get away with, like boats owned by wealthy merchants or the navy. (She doesn't like the navy very much)

She has a base which she occasionally retires to for holidays, or stops at to get supplies. It is a tropical paradise that is kept well maintained all year round. They grow crops and keep livestock there, as well as keeping supplies well stocked in case of an emergency stopoff. Its location is unknown to all but her and her crew.

Esk is very fond of being a pirate because she loves treasure (shoutout to her dragon roots) she hoards it and has decorated her cabin with it. She does make sure to give out good amounts to the crew as well, but she typically keeps or puts the more rare and precious treasures on display (to flex) Her coat and pants are dyed, which isn't overly rare in this world so it wasn't all that expensive - it just looks better since most other pirates want to stay hidden, so she can afford to have more extravagant clothing

Pirate ports: typically only visited by more friendly pirates (the ones who steal from the rich, give to the poor, that sort of thing) but more vicious pirates do come there to get supplies. they typically dont cause any trouble though, because it is by town vote whether the port should remain a pirate port or not. This happens every year, so an updated list of pirate ports at the beginning of the year is essential. Esk's crew and two others frequent the port more than most, so that port is known for being the port 'owned' by those two crews. Mess with the port and they're gonna get ya.

Theres a pub in the port called 'the dragon's head' where esk always goes. (dex also works there) It has good quality whiskey-

Esk's crew: frequents the port where Rayith and her friends (dusty the dustcat (distant cousins of the snowcats) and dex) live. Esk owns one of the infamous 12 pirate ships build by the master builder [name redacted]. hers is the only functioning one in pirate hands (or claws I guess) 3 were destroyed, 4 are in the hands of non-pirates and 4 are unaccounted for. Esk's ship, the 'Crown of Thorns' is the second most infamous ship to ever sail the seas. The most feared is the 'King's Glory' its whereabouts are unknown. These ships are special because of the magic woven into them, which makes them hard to hit with cannonballs, and hard for others to board. These magical effects only work in the hands of pirates, however, because [name redacted] was a pirate also. The most special feature of these ships is the figurehead, which in times of great need releases a spirit (which is bonded to the figurehead) to help fight with the crew.

Her necklace roughly translates to 'live by the law of the sea' in latin.
