Azurite

Created on Vascoria in the Kleptine System, Azurite is a very, mutated gem. While she is an Azurite, she has Malachite inclusions by sheer accident, causing her color scheme to lean more on the green side. The gem that was supposed to receive her, a Sodalite, was far too repulsed by her mutations, and sent her off to another gem to deal with her. The gem "supposedly" sent her to be a servant for another gem, but this is false. Instead she was sent to Earth, left to rot for the rest of her pitiful existence.

She landed in Scotland, where she resided in ponds and lakes, drifting from place to place. Eventually, she was caught in a trap made by farmers, and sold her off to a circus. The circus traveled from Scotland to the U.S., showcasing her to the public. When the circus ran out of money, they sold showcases, Azurite included. Bought by a rich couple, she was kept as a pet for their child. However, their child didn't like seeing the gem so miserable. The child released her in the midnight hour, setting her free into swamps nearby.

For what seemed forever, she swam, trying to find a place where others would not see her. Eventually, she spotted a light from above, and curiosity finally made her look. At the time, King Orlove had been vacationing at the nagging suggestion from Pumpkin Diamond, and had been traveling in the area. Azurite came upon him by sheer chance at the edge of one of the swamps. Spotting the green light her future King emitted from his gem, she gasped, letting him know that she was there. King Orlove looked down, and realized that a gem he had never seen before was in his presence. She left instantly. For a while after that, she spied on the gem while he rode in the moonlight, losing fear in approaching him and gaining confidence instead. Finally, she decided to speak to him. They both conversed and she finally told how she came to be in her current state. Her future king offered her a spot in his court, and she accepted graciously.
