traits: Unlike a lot of mares that seem to be around nowadays, Madagascar, or Maddy as a close few affectionately call her, is a sweetheart. She is extremely loyal to those she loves and considers herself the rare type that would look even the most evil equine in the eye and lie to them if it meant saving a love one's life. Maddy doesn't agree with the Darks completely, nor with the Lights. She knows all too well that life isn't all sunshine and roses but also that it is not all death and despair so she has settled in between the two alliances, aligning herself with the Neutrals. However, though she be sweet and gentle and loving and kind, Maddy does still have her faults. Her "darker" side is very headstrong and outspoken. She isn't violent but if you try to get her to do something that goes against what she believes in, you can be damn sure that she will not do it. She speaks her mind and won't ever let anyone "put her in her place." She's the motherly type, yes, but that does not mean she is afraid of telling some nineteen hand beast exactly what she thinks of them. She never lets fear hold her back, never lets anyone get the best of her, and will always make sure those who hurt her know that they've done so.

history: Maddy is what you could consider a "small town girl." The herd she grew up in wasn't very big, just a couple of horses. She was just a common girl, nobody important, and her mother didn't even know who her father was. However, the lead stallion had let Maddy's mother into the herd just a few months after his own son had been born, figuring it would be a good way to get new blood into the herd, and it couldn't hurt to have another foal running around, right? So there's how Maddy started out. When she was born, the leader's son was already a couple months older than her, but the two hit it off almost instantly. They were constantly off running around, playing, exploring. Typical little kid stuff. Their lives were good and Maddy's mother was hoping that Maddy would "marry into royalty" so her life wouldn't be quite so difficult. However, things changed abruptly when there was a sudden wild fire. Maddy was separated from her mother, who she never saw again, and only by the grace of God managed to find her herd a few weeks later. She wasn't in good shape. She's been burned by the fire and still has the scars to show it. However, once she healed up, the years flew by quickly and she settled into a new life with Dakohtah Sky who became her mate once they were of age. They ruled together, side by side, and were delighted to find that they were going to have a child. However, paradise would not last, for her beloved mate left her without an explanation one day. Hurt beyond words but too pregnant to follow after him, Maddy ruled the herd by herself until her child was born. As soon as the foal was strong enough to travel, she left to search for her mate, hoping to find the reason why he left her.

She eventually made it to the land of Wild Equines, where she found her mate ruling the land known as Silver Silence Falls. Maddy confronted Dakohtah and they eventually made up and lived for a few months as a happy couple with their foal... until the day that both her mate and her foal vanished. Maddy was six at the time. She looked everywhere but could not find them. The rain had washed their scent trail away. After days of searching, Maddy gave up and left Silver Silence Falls behind, becoming a nomad, still hoping that one day she would run into her mate and child. However, it wasn't her family that she ran in to...

She was ambushed by a Dark brute named Dr. Burke (Misty). She tried to fight him off but he succeeded in raping her. As the months passed by, she discovered that she was pregnant again. She encountered a mare named Yin (Indi) while out in the Free Lands one day after that, and the mare offered her a home. Knowing that it was best to have a home with a newborn on the way, Maddy accepted. In late winter in the early morning, she gave birth to Fergie in the land of Eacarrah. Fergie birth thread.
