Brown-skinned and fair-haired, Bari embraces the contrast of light and dark colors in his choice of clothing as well. He values comfort and simple fashion while still looking "presentable".
His glasses and facial hair give him a mature look (something his behaviour only reinforces).

Thought before Action.

An old soul and history enthusiast with a gentle demeanor.
Very open-minded, loves to learn about other people and cultures. At the same time, he has difficulty getting his words out sometimes. Tends to be a bit awkward and self-depreciating.
Many who know him would describe him as "having the patience of a saint", though Bari would immediately disclaim any allegations of sainthood.

Born in Libya, though his family moved to Italy when Bari was still a toddler. He doesn't remember much of his Libyan home.
Growing up, he did not have much in terms of material wealth and struggled to connect with his peers in school due to his heritage and differing interests.
However, his family has always been an anchor for him.

relationships

Despite Yusuf's circumstances, he continues to encourage Bari to live his own life. Bari greatly respects and wants to support him. A true pillar for Bari's well-being, both physical and mental. He knows he can always turn to her if he needs support. Got into cooking because of her. Bari thinks highly of his younger brother's strength of will and tenacity. He tries to be someone to look up to for Basim, but often relies on him as well.

i. hobbies

Reading. From books to blog posts, anything that looks remotely interesting to Bari he will read through and occasionally make notes of.
Exercise. Whether that's physical or mental, though he has a clear preference for the latter.
Cooking. There's something comforting in preparing a meal. Bari knows how to cook a rather wide array of ingredients, so long as he has a recipe at hand.
Thought. Although it may be strange to call a hobby, Bari likes to think about things (sometimes moreso than he perhaps should). Little thought experiments, deeper ponderings about himself and the world, whether he closed the fridge earlier today - anything is fair game!

ii. likes

Old things. Antiquities, keepsakes and the like.
Friendly debates. Through constructive exchange, new perspectives present themselves.
Plants. Though he's terrible at keeping them alive himself, he can still appreciate their beauty.
Taking notes. He keeps a little notebook on him at all times for this express purpose. It's just... easier to remember details if you write them down early.

iii. dislikes

Addictive substances. Ranging from harmful drugs to mundane things such as caffeine, along with the people who'd distribute them.
Having his hair touched. An innate discomfort, even if his hair is very soft.
Impatience. More of a pet peeve than anything. Please give people the time they need.
Loud noises. Bari is easily startled and his ears are somewhat sensitive.
Sudden changes. He needs some time to adjust! Preferably in advance. A long time in advance.
