Salma Ghanem

Strong-willed but caring single mother of one. Left her home in Libya and immigrated to Spain in order to provide financial support to the rest of her family.

Not long after she found her footing, she met a man she eventually fell in love with - and though they'd never married, they had a son together: Matteo. She insisted he take his father's last name, in hopes of sparing him any sort of ostracism that might stem from having a foreign name.
